English language requirement

Since AUIS is an American university, all education is done in English language only. Therefore, an English language test is required of all applicants, unless they finished an international high school. The placement test is done at AUIS, free of charge. Based on the placement score, students will be either able to start undergraduate program (UG) studies at once or will need Academic Preparatory Program (APP).

International Students

For international school applicants, the admission process at AUIS is the following:
1. Checking the eligibility (see below).
2. Filling out the AUIS Admissions application online.
3. Unless exempted by AUIS, English language placement test result - AUIS, TOEFL, IELTS, etc (check English language requirements).
4. Providing the equalization document from the Ministry of Equalization. To start this process, a student will need the official letter from AUIS. 5. The student can sign the AUIS Enrollment contract and be given two weeks to finish the equalization and submit the original certificate.

Ministry Regulations for International (School) Students

The requirements below are the latest version of the Ministry regulations for accepting international students or graduates from international schools. These requirements were established for the 2022/23 academic year and stayed the same for 2023-2026. the 2023/24 and 2024/25. Thus AUIS Admissions office is working with the regulations below. If new requirements are published for the 2025/26 2026/2027 academic year, we will update each student accordingly. AUIS Study Contracts foresee flexibility if the requirements change giving the students two options if they are negatively accepted by the change: 1) full refund; 2) the student can change the major.
