On 1 February, the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) proudly organized its first English Public Speaking Competition in Kirkuk, hosted at Altabiea School, with the participation of more than 40 students from local schools. This milestone event reflects AUIS’s ongoing commitment to promoting academic excellence, youth engagement, and English language proficiency across the region.

The American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) marked a significant advancement in pharmacy education on December 16, 2025, by conducting its first-ever Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)—and for the first time, the exam was held in a real hospital setting. This landmark assessment was conducted in collaboration with Asia International Hospital, whose support and partnership are sincerely appreciated.

Dr. Mohamed Al Hassan, Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq and Head of UNAMI, visited the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS), where he met with AUIS President Dr. Bilal A. Wahab as part of his farewell engagements concluding his mission in Iraq.
