The American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) officially launched its Teaching Dental Clinics, marking an important step in advancing practical dental education and expanding dental services for the community.

The new clinics provide College of Dentistry students with the opportunity to move from simulation-based learning to supervised, hands-on patient care. Through direct clinical experience, students can strengthen their practical skills while working under professional supervision and contributing to the delivery of quality dental services.

The opening ceremony brought together Dr. Khatab Ahmed, General Director for Education at the Ministry of Higher Education, AUIS President Dr. Bilal Wahab, College of Dentistry Dean Dr. Tara Ali Rasheed, and academics from Colleges of Dentistry at several universities.

Equipped with modern clinical facilities and digital dentistry technologies, the AUIS Teaching Dental Clinics provide an environment that connects academic learning with real-world clinical practice. The initiative reflects AUIS’s continued commitment to advancing dental education, strengthening students’ practical experience, and serving the wider community.
