AUIS College of Pharmacy Conducts Second OSCE Examination at Asia International Hospital
The College of Pharmacy at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) successfully conducted its second Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for senior students at Asia International Hospital, marking another important milestone in advancing clinical pharmacy education and assessment.
The OSCE is designed to evaluate students’ clinical competence in a structured and objective manner, assessing their ability to apply knowledge and skills in realistic patient-care scenarios. The examination was conducted through a collaborative assessment model involving healthcare professionals from Asia International Hospital, external evaluators from Erbil, and AUIS faculty members.
To ensure fairness and reliability, each station was independently assessed by two evaluators using standardized criteria. This approach strengthened the objectivity and credibility of the evaluation process while providing a comprehensive assessment of students’ clinical competencies.
Conducted in a real clinical environment, the examination reflects the College’s commitment to quality assurance, continuous improvement, and international standards in preparing competent, patient-centered pharmacists ready for contemporary pharmacy practice.
