Taking the AUIS English Placement Test

What is the AUIS English Placement Test?

The AUIS English Placement Test is a paper-based test designed by AUIS to assess the English-language proficiency of nonnative English speakers. The AUIS English Placement Test is the official English placement exam for admission to AUIS. Applicants to AUIS must complete the AUIS English Placement Test or equivalent English test to be considered. Skills measured include listening comprehension, structure and written expression, and reading comprehension.

For all policy information, please visit our English Requirements page. AUIS requires applicants to demonstrate English proficiency through the AUIS English placement test.* *Applicants in Erbil and Baghdad may take TOEFL ITP at AMIDEAST instead of the AUIS English Placement Test
Official scores will be reported 5 days to 1 week after the test date*. Scores will be reported via email. *The TOEFL ITP scores at AMIDEAST will be reported 1 to 3 weeks after the test date.
