Geoffrey earned his Masters of Public Health from the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a PhD Candidate in Educational Leadership at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Prior to pursuing these degrees, he worked as a Peace Corps volunteer (English Teacher) in Cape Verde and an HIV Prevention Educator in Chicago. A member of the AUIS family since 2009, he most recently served as the Dean of Students (2014 - 2019). He is now a Senior Lecturer in the Business Administration department. He has taught the following courses, among others: Intro to Psychology, Conflict Resolution, Consumer Behavior, and Business Ethics. His teaching is student-centered and conducted from Developmental and Nurturing perspectives on the Teaching Perspectives Inventory (TPI).
Geoffrey's dissertation focuses on the influence of gender on the cognitive and moral development of female university students and graduates. Other research interests include self-authorship in university students in the Middle East, business ethics in Business undergraduate students in the Middle East, and grounded theory methodology.
Geoffrey is the originator of Bow Tie Wednesday at AUIS.
