COVID-19 and its variants continue to affect our lives and have resulted in record numbers of new infections. Unless we all act responsibly, the pandemic will likely continue for quite a while, interfering with our work, our education, and our leisure activities.   Please make sure to get vaccinated and encourage your family and friends to do the same.
If we all act responsibly, and if health conditions in the region do not grow worse, we believe we may celebrate an in-person Commencement ceremony for the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 on September 25th 2021, which -- as many of you have requested -- will permit guests. We are proud and eager to honor your achievements as AUIS graduates.
The following guidelines will help to ensure that we can enjoy the event while minimizing health risks to our loved ones:
  1. All graduates, guests, and other participants are required to provide personal identification, and either a vaccination certificate or evidence of negative PCR test within 48 hours of the ceremony, at the front gate before entering the campus. Individuals without this information will not be allowed on campus.
  2. All participants are required to wear face masks on campus except during photo shoots.
  3. Graduates may each bring four (4) guests.
  4. Guest seating will be socially distanced, with family members allowed to sit closer together than others.
AUIS will broadcast the event live so that all family and friends may join virtually if unable to attend in person. The event will also be recorded.
More information and details about invitation cards, regalia, and other logistics will be shared with you soon.  As always, these arrangements are subject to change based on changes in government health requirements.
Congratulations again! We look forward to seeing you and your beloved families at Commencement.
With warm regards,
AUIS Graduation Committee
