  As part of its continuous efforts to support professional capacity development in the region, PDI delivered a tailored Warehouse and Inventory Management course to Qaiwan Group employees from July 24 to August 4, 2022, at American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS).   Taught by PDI Instructor Dr. Kenneth J. Muschelewicz, the program provided students with knowledge and skills about warehouse processes from receiving to dispatching goods and orders, being able to identify effective tools and processes to minimize customer lead time, and understanding the role of information technology in inventory management and its support for potential solutions. Students further learned about changing warehousing options and roles from original warehouses to cross-dock, transshipment, fulfillment, and reverse logistics centers, as well as the key objective of the Inventory Manager, and what tools are available to meet these objectives. Additionally students were introduced to several different methods of Value Inventory and determining the Cost of Goods sold, and using a system to identify where products or materials are stored in Warehouse locations.    The Professional Development Institute (PDI) seeks to identify and provide value-adding programs and services to develop individuals' knowledge and skills necessary for achieving personal and professional goals.
