PDI Delivers Mini-MBA Program for Private Sector Companies and Individuals in Sulaimani
As part of its continuous efforts to support professional capacity development in the region, the Professional Development Institute (PDI) at American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) delivered a two-week Mini-MBA course for private sector companies and individuals November 14-28, 2021. The program consisted of five main modules: Human Resources, Leadership, Sales & Marketing, Financial Management, and Project Management.
The course aimed to explain the philosophy and elements of Human Resources Management (HRM) and its impact on company effectiveness and success; communicate the key concepts, theories, and practices of Leadership in organizations/businesses; and identify the differences between management and leadership, as well as different leadership styles.
Participating students were provided with information about essential marketing concepts and tools and their application in organizations, as well as the steps of the professional selling process. They also learned strategic selling techniques to increase sales. Subsequent modules covered how to apply financial concepts in managerial decisions and how to perform financial analysis; acquiring knowledge and techniques for managing projects successfully; and gaining experience in using project management techniques that can be applied to real-life projects. Participants reported they found the program highly useful as well as very practical.
