Randi Barznji joined AUIS as one of the University's very first 100 students in 2008. Since then, she earned her MBA at AUIS and doctorate at the Paris School of Business. She is a Lecturer in the Business Department at AUIS, teaching Entrepreneurship. Her doctorate dissertation revolves around a predictable economic transition with the growth of building a digital ecosystem in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. She is a female entrepreneur herself and hopes to play a part in entrepreneurship development and possible venture capital investment initiatives. 

 

Randi is highly interested in growing the local start-up ecosystem. She has executive experience working with large corporations in their early stages. Prior to her doctorate studies, she was Marketing Director at Asia-Hawala, the first mobile money financial provider in Iraq by Asiacell. She assisted the company early on with its team building, launch, and the development of the business. 

 

As an AUIS alumna, she is dedicated to giving back to students in hopes to empower them to play a crucial role in leading a strong ecosystem.
