Consul General of Greece to Erbil Dr. Stavros Kyrimis visited American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) on December 13, 2021, meeting with University President Dr. Bruce Walker Ferguson, Vice President Academic Affairs Dr. Wolfgang Hinck, and Assistant Professor Dr. Nikolaos Konstantinidis. Dr. Konstantinidis is a member of the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at AUIS and a Greek citizen.
Dr. Kyrimis expressed his appreciation of Sulaimani and AUIS as an institution of higher education in the region and discussed areas of potential collaboration between universities in Greece and the Kurdistan Region. Drs. Ferguson and Hinck thanked Dr. Kyrimis for his visit and provided an overview of AUIS as a private, not-for-profit institution for public benefit.
