AUIS Welcomes Greek Consul General and Academics from NKUA

American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) welcomed a delegation from the Consulate General of Greece in Erbil and National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) on November 27, 2022, for a discussion on future exchange programs. 
 
AUIS President Dr. Bruce Walker Ferguson; Vice President, Academic Affairs Dr. Bob Perrins; Assistant Professor, Social Sciences Department Chair, and CACHE Director Dr. Tobin Hartnell; and Lecturer Panagiota Magga met with the delegation, which was led by Consul General Dr. Stavros Kyrimis and included Professor Achilleas Chaldaeakes, Dean of the School of Philosophy, Byzantine Musicology and Psaltic Art – Department of Music Studies; Professor Pavlos Kavouras, School of Philosophy, Faculty of Music Studies – Department of Ethnomusicology & Cultural Anthropology; Assoc. Professor Konstantinos Kopanias, Archaeology of the Eastern Mediterranean; and Assoc. Professor Evangelos Protopapadakis, Applied Ethics.
 
NKUA was established in 1837 and is the largest university in Greece with 41 undergraduate and 213 postgraduate programs.
