The CIV tutoring center provides free peer-tutoring to students of CIV 101 and CIV 102.
The tutors, hand picked by CIV instructors based on excellence of performance in CIV classes, help the student with the SKILLS they need to succeed in CIV classes. What they do NOT do is give students answers or do their homework for them. As CIV is a four course sequence that highlights essential academic skills such as reading critically, thinking deeply, analyzing new material and synthesizing various pieces of information, as well as outlining and writing essays, the stress in CIV tutoring is on working with the student to build lifelong and necessary skills that all students of the liberal arts must master.
